Saints Row IV

Postby Pres » Wed May 08, 2013 9:10 am

Saints Row IV coming 20th August 2013

Saints Row games are a bit marmite in the roost with the pigeons. There are those that love the wacky outlandish non serious contender to the GTA series and, there are those that loathe it. I, whilst having never completed the main story in any Saints Row game enjoy just messing around in a sandbox game that, does not take itself seriously.

It might have started off as a GTA clone, but it's well and truly gone it's own way now. 3 was brilliant, and I am well looking forward to 4

I loved 2 but just couldn't get on with 3 at all, i must admit that i got quite attached to my character in 2 and that fact that i couldn't recreate him voice and all in 3 didn't help

I finished the stories of 1 and 3, and got most of the way through 2.

I enjoy the wacky elements of SR, and I for one am looking forward to taking the sequel out for a walk.

It looks like it'll be pretty good fun to me, I've loved all of them so far (though the humour almost went a little too childish in the latest edition for my tastes. Almost..)

I picked this up last weekend after I won £40 in a bet on the football. Can't beat a free new game.

It is brilliant. I loved messing around in 2 & 3 and this is no different. Loving the alien invasion story line.

Can't get enough of this, every gaming moment I have had this week has basically gone into playing this game.

May even cancel my GTA preorder until I has tired of Steelport.

It is brilliant fun :D Embraces all the best parts of the series and turns them up to eleven.

I found this for £25 in Tescos on Friday!

The new superpowers adds a whole new element to the game and the humour is still great. Loved the Armageddon tune in the intro, made me laugh out loud.

I'm so behind the times I've only just started Saints Row 3.

This ended up as my game of the year. Probably the title in 2013 that I spent most time playing. There is not a single aspect of the game I don't enjoy. A new one for me is that I have also picked up a lot of the DLC including "Saints saved Christmas" and the Dominatrix DLC. I have even purchased my top heavy character ;) some new outfits including the wild west and, the childs play DLC. Owning it on steam gives regular cheap discounted access to the DLC although, I paid full price for the Christmas DLC for a bit of festive gameplay.

I think it is the superpowers that have made this my best Saints Row title to date.
