The first part of the DLC has landed. There is one car and a skin for it that is free to download and, three more super cars available as a premium pack for 160 spacebucks (£1.36 in real money if buying the points from marketplace and £1.59 on PSN). There is still more DLC to land bringing with it a whole new area to race in and, probably more achievements to boot.

Having previously completed all the chapters, along the way I had left quite a few on 2nd/3rd place finishes and a basket full of achievements still to pick up. Whilst I had a few of the top end cars from the first playthrough, due to the nature of the game and, the fact you can go from first to last in the blink of an eye, I felt I needed a break form the game. The arrival of these slightly overpowered premium cars has, made the chase for all golds a little (and, I do mean a little) easier.

I suppose it has done what DLC is meant to do and provide another reason to go back to a game that would otherwise gather dust on a shelf.

It is also worth just getting the free car and skin if, you dont want to spend the points as, that alone will give you a nice fast good handling car for dodging powerplays and missles
